The patrol speedboat DF79 La Rance has equipped the BSN of Saint-Malo (Customs Brigade) from 1991 to 2006. She is now redeployed to the Mediterranean BSN of La Grande Motte.

The DF79 La Rance was built in 1991 to Cabourg by the shipyard ACM (http://www.acm-yachts.com). She was equipped with two engines Volvo 6-cylinder 4-stroke 220-hp leading to 2 fixed-pitch. This motorization enabled a speed of 29.45 knots at full power. Moreover, her size and draught allowed her to carry out her surveillance missions close to shore.

Thanks to Roberto Fraga for the information and photos of the DF79 La Rance
